1. Determine what hours and days of the week you will be working. When you are working for yourself and from a home office you basically have 24 hours 7 days a week available as your workweek. Sure, some of your time may need to fall within a “normal” workweek to accommodate meeting with clients and networking but for the most part you can work whenever you like. What freedom. Right? Well it can be, but what I have found is that if you don’t decide what time of the day and/or days of the week you are going to work that it is very difficult to establish a routine. Without a routine, you have no set schedule and without a set schedule you work till 2 a.m. and then try to go to bed when your brain is still racing with all the “new” ideas you want to try. Remember, you still need to take care of yourself and get your required number of hours of sleep. You don’t want to neglect that because if you are sick, you aren’t generating business, and if you aren’t generating business you don’t have income (no such things as paid sick days when you are self-employed). I never had a problem with time management at work and believe what I have been experiencing is not a problem with time management but rather what part of the day am I going to consider my work day.

| Review by John J. Maiers (USA) 2010-03-09 I have owned this computer for six weeks now and am very happy. For a very light 3.5 lb computer to have 4 gigs of memory and a 500 gig hard drive is amazing. The battery will last 5 or 6 hours, not 8 as advertised in normal use, still very good. The wi-fi seems particularly efficient. The only problem I have had is that the system boots up with... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Dan (Virginia) 2010-03-02 Very happy with this purchase. Bought as a second computer to use mainly for web browsing and media applications such as iTunes. The performance is surprisingly good, probably due to the combination of the SU4100 processor, 4 GB RAM and Windows 7. This thing boots up and loads web pages lightning fast compared with my more powerful laptop (which... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by I am (Florida) 2010-03-05 If you are considering buying a netbook for a travel computer take a look at this one instead. It is a full feature laptop ( 1.3mhz Centrino 2 chip...) no bigger than a legal pad. The only thing it lacks is an internal DVD drive, but there are dozens of external USB powered DVD drives available (i.e. HP 556s ...) to take along if you need one. I go... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Goat Herder (Deployed to Middle East) 2010-02-11 Finally got my notebook (netbook?) and so far it has been great during the past 2 weeks of operation. Boots up quickly, decent graphics and the keyboard is easy to use. I was hoping it would play an old game called Beachhead 2002 but it's a little sluggish. But I didn't buy it to play video games and wanted a traveling machine. Was thinking a... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by J. Brezinski (Oklahoma City, OK) 2010-01-17 I've had my 1810T for about 60 days, and it became unstable. It would hard crash after about 5 minutes on battery. Basically became unusable unless it was plugged in. So much for a laptop. I had been running x64 Windows 7 Ultimate. Prior to last week, I've had zero problems with it. The screen just locks up on a random ... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Mike Schmidt (USA) 2010-02-20 I'm not going to write book here about it - there's already alot of reviews. However, people always rate their new notebooks high for the 1st year of ownership. See what the ratings look like after people have owned it for over a year - that's when all the defects (if any?) emerge & depreciation takes its toll. My main reason for ... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Loomer (PA) 2010-02-01 When I first unboxed this, it was the first thing that came to mind. This is a PC version of an Apple MacBook. The extremely thin, and a very well built, solid feel to it. Not to mention the chicklet style keyboard. It SCREAMS MAC! It would have been really nice if the keys were backlit, but oh well. My first concern with this laptop ... Read more reviews | ||

| Review by Mattforn (USA) 2010-03-09 This laptop has been amazing so far, great design, portable, excellent display, awesome battery life, it was exactly what i was looking for. When you first get this thing and power it up you will notice that it really doesn't come with a lot of bloatware. Most of it is Asus Utilities that help make using it easier. I uninstalled most...
